CG Foods Nepal Pvt. Ltd.
The well integrated and self-contained FMCG industry set up by the Chaudhary Group has evolved into one of Nepal’s leading manufacturers for products including food, beverages, beer and cigarettes.

CG Foods (Nepal) Pvt. Ltd. (CGFN) was established in 1984 as Nepal Thai Foods in collaboration with the Thai Preserved Food Factory from Thailand to manufacture instant noodles.

With an initial production capacity of 120 packets per minute, the company is now an ISO 9001:2008 certified company with the capacity to produce 1350 packets of noodles a minute, amounting to 25,000 tons of noodles per year.

Over the years, it has  increased its product portfolio to extruded snacks, potato chips, fried snacks, fruit drinks, chocolate enrobed wafers, and broken noodles (popularly known as Bhujiya).

CGFN has two manufacturing locations in Nepal - FUDCO in Kathmandu and Chaudhary Udyog Gram (CUG) in Nawalparasi.

FUDCO is Nepal’s first noodles production company to be awarded an ISO 9002 certifi cate and went on to get ISO 9001:2008 certifications. The unit is also ISO22000: 2005 certified in Food Safety Management System. It houses manufacturing units for instant noodles and extruded snacks for CG Foods (Nepal) Pvt. Ltd and is equipped with a complete TQM Center and Research & Development Center.

CUG is Nepal’s first ultramodern industrial village situated in Nawalparasi District, 185 km by road from Kathmandu and 23 km west of Narayanghat. CUG spans over 137 acres of strategically located land adjacent to the Mahendra Highway. The products are now exported to over 35 countries. The ranges of products that are exported include Noodles, snacks, fabricated potato chips, water and beer under its own brands.

Gold Beverage Nepal (GBN) is a unit of CGFN that was established in 1998 for the production of fruit juice. It currently produces more than 30 million packets of fruit juice per year in a variety of popular flavors including Alfonso mango, mixed fruit and pineapple under the 'Rio'brand. CG recently tied up with Raybot Springs Mineral Water Pvt. Ltd. to bottle water from natural springs for both international and domestic markets. The plant manufactures bottled natural spring water from its own source and can rival spring water from any other part of the world. CG Raybot is taking Himalayan spring water to the world.

The Kwik’s & Zoom wafers have become popular among the young and the olds are available in four different flavors such as Chocolate, Vanilla, Orange and Pineapple flavors.


Sungold Brewery (Nepal) Pvt. Ltd. (SBN) was established in 1997 as the brewery arm of the Chaudhary Group and produces beer under the Nepal Ice, Real Gold and Mustang brands. Partnerships with international brewers like SAB Miller and In Bev International, Netherlands mean that its beers are marketed in Hong Kong, Japan, UK and the USA besides having a strong domestic market. An ISO 9001:2008 certified company; SBN currently has the capacity toproduce150, 000 cartons of beer per month.


CG Packaging (Nepal) Pvt. Ltd. was set up in 2010 with the objective of manufacturing high quality corrugated boxes to meet our company wide demand and also meet the needs of external customers. CG Packaging is Nepal’s first automatic corrugation line with the capacity to manufacture 100,000 boxes per day.


CG has established a trading unit called CG Exim (Nepal) Pvt. Ltd. to import and market various FMCG products in the domestic market. It will also export Nepalese FMCG products for the international market through its worldwide distribution network.


Sikkim Plant: CG Foods India Pvt. Ltd. (CGFI) has set up its first plant in Sikkim to manufacture Wai Wai, both brown and white noodles, Bhujiya, Cheese Balls and many other snack foods which will be added to meet the increasing demand in India and abroad. The Sikkim plant commenced commercial production from April 2006. The plant is spread over an area of 6 acres and has an annual production capacity of 9,000 MT of noodles. Sikkim plant has already created an employee base of about 400 people which will expand in the time to come.


CGFI, a company owned by Cinnovation Group has the distinction of becoming the leader in the East and North East part of India in the Noodles and Snack foods with a market share of over 60% and now is expanding rapidly towards the rest of the country. The group owns WAI-WAI and KWIK Brands in fast food.


Perfect Blends (Nepal) Pvt. Ltd. Was established in 1998 as CG’s cigarette manufacturing unit and produces popular brands like Bagh, Gaurav, James, Josh, Matrix, Pride and Sahasi. It started with the capacity of producing 1,500 sticks per minute and has improved its production capacity to 4,500 sticks per minute.

CG FOODS ASSAM (Guwahati & Silchar)

Guwahati Plant: Guwahati, the north-east entry point of India is where the CGFI has established its 2nd Manufacturing Unit in India. The plant has a new and advanced technology which came into action from September, 2009. Located around 60 Kms away from Guwahati at Chhayogoan, which is an industrial zone, the plant is spread over an area of around 7 and 1/2 acres. The technology of the plant is also a benefit in context to the booming market and demand for CG products in India. The plant provides an enhanced speed and efficiency for production of instant noodles and Bhujia pushing the production capacity to approximately 20,000 MT per year. This unit has created employment of more than 500 people in the area.

Silchar Plant: Guwahati is the central distribution area of North-east India, and in order to cater to the increasing demand in that region, CGFI has established its 2nd Manufacturing Unit in Silchar, Assam which has successfully started its commercial operation in early 2013. This unit is going to create employment of more than 500 people in next 2 years.


Rudrapur Plant: CGFI moved a step forward to produce the Hakka Noodles initially in the Rudrapur Plant that commenced production from June, 2008. The plant is situated about 280 Kms from the capital city of India, New Delhi and also very close to one of the popular hill station, Nainital. It is situated at SIDCUL (State Industrial Development Corporation Uttaranchal Ltd.), Pantnagar in Uttaranchal.

The plant spreads over an area of 3 acres and manufactures Hakka Noodles in vegetarian and egg variety, brown Noodles as well as Mama Punte Bhujia in snack variant. It employs about 350 people.

In Feb 2011 the unit started commercial production of noodles line which is producing both brown and white noodles catering to the North and West India markets. It has an annual capacity of 9,000 MT of noodles. One of its products Masala Delight in vegetable flavor is already making inroads into the market as market favourite.
